What an amazing first experience at The Honu! Vanessa took such great care of us, explaining the menu food and drink options, and answering our questions! The food was as good as the service, which is outstanding! Try the nachos and thank me later! You'll never look at nachos the same. The decor and music also need to be mentioned. What a great atmosphere! Thanks Honu... We'll definitely be back! 😁🤗🌈

Fun place to grab a bite to eat and drinks. The vibe and food reminded me of when we were stationed in Hawaii. Started with the edamame and split the huli huli chicken sandwich. We caught happy hour, and the drinks were fantastic. So glad we decided to swing by after a day at the beach.

The tiki decor, outdoor patio, live music, and creative cocktails make it feel like a mini island getaway in the middle of Dunedin. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it's a bonus that they have their own parking lot. The food was good overall, especially the pork dishes and sandwiches, and the drinks were well crafted and flavorful. Service was attentive, although things can occasionally take a little longer than expected during busy times. Some menu items were stronger than others, but the overall experience was enjoyable. A great place for island vibes! When we were walking up to the restaurant, we knew that it was going to be a great time and it happily lived up to the expectations! The drinks were colorful and delicious. They had mocktails for my wife which was a plus. We ordered the Pu Pu platter and it was a great experience, though the grill was on the smaller side for some of the items for the grill. We ordered the steak and fish bowl specials and the steak was good, but the fish was lacking seasoning, in my opinion. Overall, the vibes were great, as was the drinks. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

We had a fabulous dinner at Honu tonight to celebrate my upcoming birthday! We were seated immediately and Brandi, our server, greeted us promptly. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made great recommendations! My husband and I each had a cocktail (the Ube colada for me, the Tropical Itch for my husband). They were refreshing and delicious! We started our meal with tuna poke wontons. There were 4 in the order. The tuna was incredibly fresh and was dressed just right, with a little sriracha kick. For dinner, I enjoyed the humuhumunukanukaapua'a (please don't check my spelling) and my husband had the combo plate of huli huli chicken and pork. Both meals were absolutely fantastic! Dessert was warm pineapple upside-down cake and Kona coffee. Brandi even served mine with a birthday candle and the outside patio sang "Happy Birthday" to me. After our amazing meal, Christian helped us select some merch from inside. We got a couple cool stickers and tee shirts, so we will always remember our experience at Honu. It may have been our first time at this hidden gem, but it definitely will not be our last!
